Direct election of the GOP “Board of Directors” is needed

Friends have asked me where I stand on the issue of “direct elections,” which is allowing rank and file Republican voters the same privilege that Democratic Party voters have in Illinois. Each party has a “Central Committee,” a board of directors if you will. Democrat voters get to choose their leaders. Republican voters do not.

The quality of the Illinois Republican State Central Committee is as much a reason for the pathetic nature of the IL GOP as any other factor—if not more so.
